    BAGs...We can help Pratt Museum:

    http://www.goodsearch.com/Default.aspx

Every time you search the internet, use Pratt Museum as your charity of choice and they get a penny each time you search.  Check it out!  It's our way of helping out Pratt, to help our bears!  And maybe we can get some extras added to our cam viewing next year.  Woo-Hooooooo!!!  All the pennies add up.

    Augustine Volcano Vent...

    Name: Karen/California
    E-mail: Not specified

from Mike O'Meara of Pratt Museum:

Augustine Volcano, near the vent. Taken last summer by Daniel Zatz when the guys were doing the McNeil installation.

Sure, you can post Daniel's photo -- he and the other guys took photos of the relay installation and volcano for us to use.  One of the perks of a chopper charter is being able to get a close look at some very hard to reach places. Several of us hiked/climbed about 2/3 of the way to the summit a number of years ago but I've never gotten that high up Augustine. It's a fascinating place. Guess I need to go back one day when things cool down a bit and see if I can get all the way to the top.
Thank you Mike....this is great! Smile

Working on the Error on the Frappr Forum

Good evening BAGrs; I got the following email from Frappr Support today.  Sounds like they are working the problem.  It still exists as of the date & time of their email but maybe it will be fixed soon.

    Hi there,

Thanks for contacting Frappr Community Support.

I'm so sorry about the troubles you experienced with your Frappr Map and
forums. Did you have the forums bookmarked on your page? We moved the
forums to a new mini-site recently, so if you had the forums bookmarked,
it is likely that that bookmark no longer works.

To access the forums, make sure you're *logged in* on Frappr, and click
through to the Map in the "My Maps" section of your Profile. Then, click
the link at the bottom of the page.

Please note that right now, we're working on a bug which is preventing
the forums from displaying properly (it sounds like you noticed this
one, too). We're working on getting this bug fixed now, so please bear
with us while we make the necessary changes. Check back in a few days to
make sure the forums are back.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions,
    comments, or concerns.

    Have a great day,

    Michael C.

Attn BAGrs, I just sent a message (13 Dec/12:10 PM EST) to the Frappr people from MyMessages (You should be able to get to your own Frappr ID page).  Telling them of our problem.  I will be leaving for work shortly so may not be able to check on progress for another six hours or so.

    Error on the Frappr Forum

    Name: Keith (Ohio)
    E-mail: Not specified

    Hi Helene,

I started getting this error last night after I did a Microsoft Windows update and haven't been able to get on since.  "Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /nail/frappr/live/phpBB2/common.php on line 215"

I was afraid my computer had gotten messed up again but I get the same result from two different computers.  I was able to log in and get to MyFrappr, My Message, MyMaps, etc.  But when I tried to get to the McNeil Frapr, it just returned a blank window.  Guess since two different machines here and you also are having the same problem, the Frappr people must be doing something again!

This is the URL I used:  http://www.frappr.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=549398

Hello everyone.  I miss you all.  So good to check in on "our" thread and to read all your postings.  The BAG thread is working so well, don't you all agree, BAG's ? Wink

Here is another good link to Churchill this time, a Churchill Northern Science Centre (homepage)

    http://www.churchillscience.ca/

and further into this website is information for Volunteers - so if BAG's can get the airfares together for a bit of work, the accommodation is free ! Whoo hooo

    http://www.churchillscience.ca/index.php?page=volunteer

I am very focused on my two "sub adult" humans right now.  So if my postings are short at the moment or long time in between, this is the reason why.

So glad you enjoyed the ling to the Grizzly Sanctuary.

    I really miss the BEAR's - I think BAG's should hibernate too.  !

I love the BAG blog - {{{{{{{{{{{{{{ Bear Hugs to you all and to keep you northern hemisphere folks warm and cosy }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}  Sounds VERY cold in Churchil and with you Lin ?

Sending ya'all sunshine from a lovely warm SWest Western Australia

    The Grizzly Sanctuary Web Site

Rox - what a great site!  Took me a couple of days to remember to check it out and then had to find your posting again.  The BAG's tag was the tool that finally helped me find it - kind of by accident but at least it worked!

Anyway. . . the Grizzly Sanctuary is a place you can spend lots of time just driving around looking at all the pictures and videos.  Just wish I had a spare $5K to $10K lying around to take advantage of the 10 day trips.  Ah well. . .

Thanks for the site address Rox.  Hey BAG's, if you haven't checked out the site, I recommend you do as it will give you a little grizzly fix to help hold you over till the McNeil Cam comes back.  Man, I'm going nuts waiting for that!

    Hoo Roo!

Gentle bear hugs I hope, Karen...thanks. We had a huge arctic front come down here that should have stayed in Churchill...at -14C I sort of knew what the bears, brown and white were facing!

.............. I found it by clicking on the Snoopy tag in the forum (not the writing page) and then clicking on the "all tags" tab ! Phew.

Once you get the hang of it, it is really useful tool, to navigate around the forums without using a URL. - Where did the English language go, now what was Keith saying about the Hoo Roo in the Kakadu forum.  Confused

Ha ha, I am learning about TAG's right now, so excuse me for interupting anyone.  I have tagged myself from Alaska to Australia and back again.  Seems the Snoopy Tag is not the only one and that there are 4 more at the moment.  Karen has one tagged as What's This - but you won't find it in the "Select Tags" in this forums writing page, only Snoopy is displayed here.  So the Snoopy tag must be the first Tag in the Griz forum and Karens What's this is the first on in the Kakadu forum.  So how did I find Karens What's This tag. I'll post this to find out
