I also have wrote my letter in support for the bears. I also included That I have been to Alaska before. When I was there we drove for miles and saw no animals. It was truly sad. I have family and friends there. We are planning another trip this summer.

I hope you do mind if I post another alert here.

“Idaho Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife” picks up interesting support for their anti-wolf rally

Filed under: Wolves, Idaho wolves, Conservation and politics — Ralph Maughan @ 12:34 pm

Note, I edited this post for the sake of clarity, and deleted the comments. I think the way I posted it caused some confusion. RM

Idaho Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife is an interest group organized in Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho as separate chapters. They are having a wolf delisting rally at the state capitol on Thursday. We have discussed them before, and the E.D. for Idaho and the one for Wyoming both posted to this blog. That generated some discussion.

You can often judge a group by the company they keep, or by who supports them. Check out this URL (Idaho Values Alliance).

    http://www.idahovaluesalliance.com/default.asp

I wrote them and told them how lucky they are to have the wolves. I have to go over to Idaho every other week. I wish I could boycot the state, but I can not.

    Updated old Alert: Action Needed...

    January 9, 2007:

A new update has been posted regarding Representative Paul Seaton, at the McNeil Frappr:

    http://www.frappr.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=5373092#5373092

There needs to be a renewed effort to obtain lands adjacent to McNeil Sanctuary, but if the Alaska Legislature does not hear from us soon (and again), we may lose the opportunity to protect our bears. The current/new legislature is backed up with many requests...we need to make sure that this topic stays in the forefront--and let them know it is important!  Please: Take Action!

    Calling all bear lovers!  Help!!

Karen, you made this very simple. I have already sent my e-mail to the Governor.

very simple and easy...thanks Karen. I sent mine. I've never seen THE bears. but have visited Alaska twice and seen many glorious bears. All of the bears need protection. Tourism is the answer.
