Hi, just got home and well tis the season here in out little
town.  They are putting a star on the tree in the park and
they were hanging the icicle lights on the town tavern.
There is a nice video on Kim Wolhuters sight at
www, wildcast.net.  For those who would like an
    elly fix its pretty cute.

Thanks Bonnie - I can't get the video to play just now but will try again later.  So, how come you didn't post the site using "the red thingy" that makes it live?  Hee hee.  I saw you post on the tech thread but LAP had already answered you.

Yea, Bonnie. I wore my poor little fingers to the bone answering that question for you.

    www.wildcast.net

See, like that.....you had www comma wildcast - that is why it wasn't working.

Oh I do get it, but you don't get mine obviously. The solution is not to have a Forum at all. Just the cam of the pond and nobodys blood pressure would ever rise, I'm glad mine is low.

Did I read somewhere that the end date is coming up?  The 8th?

If John Kondis reads today's thread, he may go ahead and pull the plug.  lol.  I heard the 15th, then one of the kids in the hide mentioned that Pete might keep it going through the holidays, depending on the weather.  That is, if my memory serves.  Most of the time it just ignores me until it's time to pay the bill.  lol.

Sorry, that was me!  I forgot to put my name!  See what I mean about my memory???

Total agreement, Dar.  I just logged on and cannot believe the drivel.  Of course, we can all just use the 'non-specified' handle and of course, we can all use aliases (I may very well be King Creole or Queen Victoria), but too often, these are just covers for unpleasant people hiding behind anonymity.  It is cowardly and juvenile behavior and certainly distracts from the majority of decent, kind and pleasant people enjoying this forum.  Let them have their childish and unhappy fun but best to ignore it by never responding to one of their silly little posts.  With any luck, and if we still can have this wonderful Pond Cam next year, we will have a registration system which should put an end to all the silliness.  That's about it for my soapbox tirade!!!!      Zip it!

Registration will NOT put an end totally to the ugliness..... Most of it yes. But those who just want to keep being ugly will register any number of names to use.. One for nice comments and others for rudeness....BUT for those who want to hide behind alternate names or nicknames or unspecifieds.... Each time you post your IP is logged.... You might hide from those of us who are just watchers. but you are NOT hiding from those in the know....So those of you who post as nice people  under a certain name or nickname regularly. then use a alternate name....... This site knows who ya are

    Carmen,

I don't need to hide either under non-specified, I chose not to put a fictional name down. You yourself have a fictional name too, either this one or is it Nyala (which you use on the Bloggers Cafe). Tell me, what difference does it make from non-specified, for all we know your "real" name is neither Carmen nor Nyala. I personally couldn't care less, I am just trying to make a point about this whole silly thing going on here about "non-specified". I agree with you, John Kondis can change that, until then I will retain my nick name as un-specified! LOL.

We meet here and talk and exchange ideas/pleasentries. When you meet at a party do you introduce yourself as unspecified? When you make a good point do you want to be recognized for future referance? or a bad point accept responsibility, such is life, we recognize each other. I cannot, or find it hard to, recognize un-specified or their comments. For example do you remember the so in so who made that intelligent/ informative comment the other day? sure wish I  knew his/her name..or even a nick name.Do you get it yet? This is to all unspecifieds.

If you have not put your name on the Roll Call, there is still time. Just post on THAT thread and I will add you for the next list.

     Not specified:

Ya Carmen I always thought you were behind alot of those Not Specified messages, I just hope you didn't write the really nasty ones.

I don't have to hide behind a "Not Specified" to write my messages.  There have been times when I forget to include my name...I have always corrected that.

I am not ashamed to say what I think...you clearly are...under your name.  Wanting to point to some one else?  I am sure it is you that stirs up trouble every time the forum has settled down.  And the forum follows...how sad.

Bringing up some criticism does not mean that the person does not appreciate the cam or the cam operators.  A lot of people here are confusing these two issues.

My comments have been polite, you however need some education (anonymous remarks are rude).

A lot of good people have left because there is no restrain in the forum.  One "negative" (as you call it) message is always followed by nasty remarks, calling names and asking that person to leave.  There is only one person that can do that, and that is John Kondis.

I for one am very sad to see this behaviour over and over again.  I wish that persons like Jayell would come back.

    Carmen
