8:45 - could just barely make it out.  Could have been hyena.  Lots of noise that didn't seem to match up with what I'm seeing on the screen.  Did anyone else see it?  So much for my thoughts about someone manning the cam if anything comes to the water hole . . .

Back again - Yippeeee!  Thanks, Patty, was wondering about that as it seemed like someone was definitely manning the controls last week when all the lionesses came down to drink with the king.  I had no sound then, unfortunately. 

I love the night sounds, too.  There is definitely some other puddle or water nearby as I hear water sounds every now and then.  Will keep the screen on while I'm cleaning and hope for some action.

Lost my feed to the WH for a while but it seems to be back in business again. Pie, the camera controls seem to be at the mercy of whoever passes by in the lodge that has time...I think. I've seen someone controlling at night before, especially when the lions are about.

Thanks, Jackie - you are so nice!  I hear the lapping sound off and on - not there at the moment.  Perhaps it is just some bird.  That light hammering noise is off and on as well - is that a woodpecker? 

Do you know if anybody "mans" the camera controls at night at Nkorho Lodge?  Picture seems pretty much stationery from about 7 or 7:30 p.m. (African time) until the sun comes up again.

No worries Pie, I'm in and out too.  Thanks for mentioning the "lapping" noise.  I was without sound and thought everyone else was too - I refreshed and "tada" now I hear the birds.  Don't worry about asking questions - we all do and everyone is very helpful here.

Thanks Patty.  Man, I haven't even touched on everything this program can do but was happy to find that "healing" tool thingy to edit out the "shutter" message.  Still, I can't seem to make the pictures as sharp and clear as you do - I was hoping to play with resolution to fix that but haven't figured it out yet - she still seems a bit blurry to me.

Jackie - Yes, I was seeing the "shutter" and numbers on the screen and it was flipping from Color to B&W.  It was distracting and I was wondering what that was all about.  Sorry I didn't answer before now - was cleaning my office room and just listening and keeping an eye on the pond. 

Heard some lapping sounds a minute ago, like something was drinking at the pond but nothing was there.  Wonder what that was?  I am very curious and always full of questions - don't mean to be a pain, but how can I learn if I don't ask?  I love this site and will probably burn out my monitor keeping the pond on all the time!!!  Ah well....

Go to View and click on "Menu Bar Options" and click on "Show Menu Bar" and the menu will always be visible.

 Not everyone a techie. I admit I'm puter challenged - BUT problem solved!!!!!!!!

  And by the way, I must have different WMP version than you because I do not have "Menu Bar Options" or "Show Memu Bar" -----------but thanks for your suggestions anyway.
