    Apologies, Rita!

We are still working on the technical issues with Kakadu Cam... We believe we have resolved the connection issue and the power/battery problem... Bear with us--nobody is more frustrated than we are about this, trust me!

    Cheers!

Whoops from reading this info now, seems like this is a company distributing Australian products in the US and Canada, and seems to me is under the HooRoo name ! Amazing, the name maybe on all types of brands in the US.  I need to add a disclaimer here, since I have unintentionally advertised  which is not allowed in the forum.  My apologies, should have read and thought a bit more before posting Embarrassed

This is getting funny!  I did another Google on Hoo Roo and found a bunch of fun sites including one for Hoo Roo Creek Chardonnay 2004.  http://www.uk.chateauonline.com/pages/gate.asp?mainurl=/pages/fichevin.asp?idproduct%3D17592%26subprodid%3D33332

Maybe this should also be added to the BAGr Picnic basket in the other forum.

........... a trick to keeping up with using TAG's is that when you are in the browser, keep an eye on the forum it states the TAG is in !  Confused

Keith, thanks so much for searching the Hoo Roo. It is interesting to note that this expression is sometimes, but actually rarely used over here, but that this is the only country I have ever heard it said, never in England, which from your finding's it orginated.  Maybe it came over with the convicts ?  would be interesting to know this sayings origins.

Bonnie, please don't be jealous, - you'll just have to wing your way over here.  It is a beautiful big Island, that is for sure.

Hi! Geez, I don't get over here much, and then usually just read to see what is going on. However, saw your post about finding origins of words. Have you tried the Oxford English Distionary? I had an English prof in college who gave us an assignment to look up just one word there and bring back our findings. Oh, my! I think mine was 20 or 30 pages single spaced, typed.....dumb me chose to do "mother" !

Anyway, it is a wonderful resource and I bet you could find it in there. Very interesting....only used in Australia, but origin is British....Bet the Brits just changed it enough that it is no longer recognizable.

    Ok, I'm leaving..... bye

Well, guess I flunked the Oxford English Dictionary.  Embarrassed

Found the web site but couldn't get a hit on Hoo Roo in the search the entire site or in the Compact Dictionary search either.  Maybe someone with better search ideas can help?

Just waiting for Mumsie to come back!! Big doings at the pond with an attack on an impala that succombed to the injuries, when it died under the hide they dragged it around so we could watch it being eaten. Warthogs first then much later a lioness dragged it into the trees to eat. December 15 close date is a possiblity...i did find out that africam at wavelit runs all year. no word about Kakadu..not a peep from J Kondis at all anywhere. Off to tend supper type at you soon!!!

Thanks for the Wavelit info - I flipped over there, but couldn't find a cam, just the forums, but it looks like an interesting site and will investigate further.  I had a look at the cam today, seems to me the camera angles have changed, but didn't hang around to view for very long.  I am off to post a thread to John to ask for another update.

I've got to buzz off for a few days.  Will type soon  Smile

Well, sat on my bum all day, not much happening at the pond but trying to figure out what time the surprise would be..guess you saw some of that. I don't know if you watch the wavelit, com camera africam and don't want to bore you with the details if you do. do you know about the grizzly cubs in Vancouver on that site? Click on the word wavelit above the africam and then the bears. Well today when I was saying nothing happens there but crows and snow..I'll be darn the bears came into this barn looking structure and stayed quite a while...very cool to see them for the first time!! If you go to the thread about sights and sounds and other cams I'm sure you will see some pics by 4EE. Just a little tickle for later this year!!! Have a good day and I'll type (and backspace..) to you soon . oh. by the way I don't even check the cam in Kakadu anymore , I'm waitng for John to give us the heads up....sooner than later I hope..would be a good present for Christmas,eh!?! I was reading through some of the forums and found that the tag named 'Message' had a lot of porn sites and drug sites...kind of appalled to see so much in the Lost Gospel forum...that's just not right. So Message is in most forums except the wild cams which is good I think, or maybe they just can't tag to sticky threads..I don't know ...much to learn!

Hey Karen - That was odd, as I found your post via the TAG browser, so I assumed my post would go directly above your's.  It was also strange since I had no idea what forum my post would end up in !
