THE KAKADU CAM IS SCHEDULED TO GO LIVE ON NOVEMBER 15, 2007!

To paraphrase "My Fair Lady,"  Darn!  Darn!  Darn!  Darn!  Our Eagles (Australian Football League) were knocked out of the race to the finals last week-end by Collingwood!  And now I read that a couple of the keep players of this week are leaving.  One retiring and another trying to move back closer to home in Melbourne.

Well Karen it seems that my Kemoose is getting ready for a cold stretch and that means I need to start getting ready for some serious Outback time.  Sure hope that the Kakadu plans make it through to an actual camera this year. 

In the mean-time, I've been trying to get the hang of Australian Football.  My West Coast Eagles are getting ready to play in the semi-finals going toward a premiership.  This w/e, "we" play Collingwood which isn't ranked quite as high as us but things can change quickly in the oval.  Rox was able to see a game or two this year - something that isn't likely to happen for this Roo.  For those interested in the premiership run to the finals, the URL is http://www.afl.com.au/Season2007/FixturesResults/2007ToyotaAFLPremiershipSeasonFixture/tabid/8543/Default.aspx

Sure will be good to see the roos cruising!  Thanks for letting us know the cam is still a go.  We didn't see much last year but it was fun anyway.  In the meantime, we'll just chill.

The Kakadu plans are ramping up as we speak. There are no definite dates or details to report at this time. I'll post updates as soon as decisions are made and plans are completed.

Rox, I suppose right now you should be at work - maybe on lunch break - and talking with you local mates about how-on-earth Freo could have pulled off a win against the Eagles!  That shouldn't have been possible.  From reading the report though Freo had control of the game from the very first to the end.  They sure out-scored the Eagles in each of the four quarters.  We should have our hands full in round 19 against the Roos!  They look pretty tough.  When do you and yours go to an oval to see another game?

Are things starting to turn warm there yet?  I'm guessing the "winter" has to be loosening it's grip by now!  Weather page for Freemantle shows a few minutes ago that it is 54.3 °F / 12.4 °C with Light Showers Rain with the next few days of:

62° F | 51° F 17° C | 11° C

68° F | 53° F 20° C | 12° C

So, I guess I kind of answered my own question about the weather.  So. . . I wonder when Kakadu Cams will be back!?  Have you heard anything?
