Im not sure if this is what Rita asked, but when ever I post it takes me back to my first post for that day (or when I opened the forum) and I have to scroll up the page to find my current post or the newest post depending on if my post has actually posted yet.

ALso I have my setting set to descending order and when I'm on the lets chat thread I am at the latest post but if I go to another thread it takes me to the first post of the thread.  is there someting I can do to change this?

 Just a few things with the new server: When we post a link it is highlighted in the post box but not on the forum..there it is gray . It works but we are used to highlighted links..we can adjust

We now have to refresh to see our posts and sometimes more than once..If we post fast the time gets longer..and we do post fast

If we aren't at the computer for a few hours and the page renews we are stuck on the last page and we have to come back in to get to real time

I'm ok with changes ..just thought I would tell you some differences

 It appears as though Posting does not automatically refresh the page you were viewing. We'll look into this further to see if we can reach some resolution for you.

Our performance efforts may bring resolution to this issue.

I was wondering if there was a way to change the background to something not quite so white. After a while, it begins to hurt the eyes. If you can't, I'll understand, just thought I would ask.

 Let me know if the button is where everyone would like it to be.

At this point, the only other request on our plate is the "time since last post" calculation. If there are any other issues, please bring them to my attention.

Once everything is resolved, we will begin to work on the performance enhancements.

 Thank you for trying to get a better running forum for us. There is an issue that is driving me nuts. I have to hit the refresh button multiple times before my posts will show up. Why don't they just show immediately like they used to? 

Also, is there any way to revise the coloring? Some people are finding all the whiteness a bit hard on the eyes. Anyway to soften the effect?

With the change of the video card today, I am disappointed in the inability to convert to theater (full screen) mode with prior level of resolution and same sound quality.  Will that be a permanent change to the sight?  I much prefer watching PP in a format that is larger than 3"x3.5" with relatively decent resolution.  Hope this can be improved.  THanks.  Lisa

Since the changes on the forum I have noticed that when I do a "Copy"/"Paste" the font sizes do not come out here on the forum as I have them on my original document. The Roll Call thread is one example: http://forums.ngm.com/forums/t/7282.aspx

All of the font is set at 12 but it sure doesn't copy that way here.... any idea what is going on?

Also, the links sometimes take me back to my last post, not the last post on the thread..

Now that we've finally got a live feed, again I am getting a slide show with less than one frame per second being viewed.  The feed is also stopping to reload.  My download speed is 1247 kbps, but here' what Clip Info reveals:

This does not happen consistently, or even frequently, but every now and then when I click on the link to Sightings and Sounds from Pete's Pond 2007-08, I get an incomplete page.  The header material loads, but none of the messages.  The browser's status line says "Done" although it is not done:

We continue to work on all of the issues that arise, as many of you have noticed.

Finally, we will be taking the forum down for a couple hours this weekend to clear out old content that is no longer in use. Don't worry, this is content that exists from old NGM features and is not related to any of the WildCam Forums. Removing this content from the database will improve performance.

 I notice there is no feature page where the cam and info is on the different wildcams..is this something yet to be added?

I just noticed that the items in our inbox are now being called "conversations"?  I really prefer the old terminology - Private messages.  What goes on in the topics is conversation, and that name does not make it clear that only the person to whom  the private message is addressed can see it.  I also liked the old format for the listings better.  It was really easy to see when something new was added by scanning for the red mark beside a new message.  The way it is now, I might not ever notice if a reply to one of the older messages came in.   Just my opinion.
