Re: Technical Updates/Viewing Issues: Polar Bear Cam

Quiltfisher, there is a possible solution, but because NG has a partnership with Real player, we haven't posted it on the forums.  If you email me at mygoatherd2@yahoo.com , I will be happy to email you the information.  I still use RP but can now watch the other cams as well.

Re: Technical Updates/Viewing Issues: Polar Bear Cam

I have been watching the various webcam's for quite some time (Polar bears, grizzlies, seals, Pete's Pond) but am new to the forums.  Imagine my horror and utter disappointment to find the RealPlayer is now for Windows XP/Vista!  I can no longer see the Polar bears!!!  I've got RealPlayer but an OLD computer with Windows 98 (please don't groan, I can't afford a new computer).  I was able to watch everything .... until this season.  Any help?  Anything I can do to remedy this?  Anything RealPlayer can do to remedy this?

At this time, the live feed is intermittent. We are working on getting it streaming to connect you to the polar bears. Just picture them grooming and preening for their big, 2007 season screening. I'm referring to the bears not the tech team!

    Stand by....

Keep getting the ever loving "connecting," no audio, a quick shot of a bear moving, then "connecting. Maybe by tomorrow it will be all ironed out

Re: Technical Updates/Viewing Issues: Polar Bear Cam

Hi out there. We are now getting live pictures of a polar bear according to the band at the bottom of the screen, but the picture stopped on one shot of a bear with its head down in the snow. We have not been able to receive audio yet. Is anyone out there getting live video or audio? Please let me know, so I know it's not my computer messing up.

    Thanks,

SKG in FLA dn fifth grade class

1:24 CST and a green screen....*sigh*....my first look at the cam and it's down.  And of course let's not forget the Real Player error that we get at Pete's Pond.  I wrote about that on the technical thread but nothing was resolved. Sad

Re: Technical Updates/Viewing Issues: Polar Bear Cam

I see a bear, woohooo, connecting, still have to iron out the gremlins it seems. Pity we can't have BOTHthe bears & PP on at the same time. If ones on real player & the other on the main page, one ends up on pause. & if you want the other on real player the first site gets canceled. Pity one wasn't on WMP, then we could have both

Re: Technical Updates/Viewing Issues: Polar Bear Cam

Will there be a live video feed like last year? Today we are getting still pictures, choppy and sometimes just black screens. Will the camera be live and moving like it was last year? Also, we can't pick up any audio. Will audio be part of the camera this year? We loved watching last year and are hoping for the same thing this year so we can begin our sicence unit.

    Thank you,

SKG in FLA and fifth grade class

    Hello Lisa,

I want to be sure that my students and I can view the live broadcast from the Tundra Buggy on Oct 29th.  What computer requirements will I need?  Can we do some troubleshooting now?

    Thanks in advance!

Hello Lisa! Is this thread also to be used for posting issues or should we have a Webmaster thread for that?

Last year we coudn't see both the Polars and Pete's pond at the same time. One or the other would pause, is thios an RP thing or is there something we need to do to see both...Thank you in advance. Can't wait to be in a tundra buggy!!
