Dear Polar Bear Cam Community Members,
The live broadcast of Polar Bear Cam is coming to a close.
This year our cameras sent out some unforgettable live video - - bears sparring, up to at least eight bears in one place, and Dancer, a large, male bear who returns to the area every year, investigated Buggy One. Patrick King, a 12th grade student, guest-operated the camera, and blogged to keep us in the loop. Our polar bear experts answered your questions during their online question and answer sessions. And the views from Cape Churchill have been amazing as well, with its stunning landscape and frequent bear activity.
On behalf of the National Geographic WildCam Program, we’d like to thank our partners, whose extraordinary efforts brought you Polar Bear Cam 2007:
Polar Bears International, Frontier North's Tundra Buggy® Adventure, SeeMore Wildlife Systems and RealNetworks, Inc.
A special thank you to all of our Polar Bear Cam community members and fans. We have enjoyed reading your posts this season - - we appreciate your curiosity and affinity for nature and all things polar bears!
We look forward to seeing you back again with us next season. Until then, be sure to check out other WildCam activities that are coming up or going on now:
