Hi, everyone ! Hope you are all well. Party was good. Finally broke up around midnight. . . so I got a little sleep, but woke up extra early today so not really "with" it yet... gonna need a nap for sure today...

how did you like it when pieter got out of the jeep to climb to the top of the termite mound to sdee if he could find the leopard again!  yikes,

Yes the leopard was a surprise last night even to Pieter.   Did he ever say which leopard it was.   It was 2 am and I had to go to sleep.   The position I was in with the laptop was setting my neck and shoulder in knots.  

Oh a ellie is back.

It was a slow drive last night till the leopard showed up...   I was just heading to bed but I did see it.

Poor Sally, I would have strung that person up who woke me up the 2nd time.   Hope her trip is a safe one.  

I have not had breakfast yet and that should be shortly.... French Toast.... yummy.

Good morning, Janet and Rita.  Janet I'm glad you got to see the leopard, it was exciting, I was just ready to say good night when there it was!  then I was wide awake and had a hard time sleeping!  too much excitement I guess

The Pan has been a busy place this morning, we've had elephants drinking from the bubbler, now this poor giraffe is having trouble reaching the water, of you can call it water

Lisa the group that leaves on tuesday is headed to Kenya they are going to the Mara to see the migration.  I am leaving in 11 days for MAshatu and DJuma.  So if you see someone waving franticlly it's me!  I"ve also been to the Okavango Delta, and Lunyanti.  I think I the Delta is one of my favorite places, although it's hard to choose, I just loved the water and the different animals I saw there.  I"ve also been to Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwae, & Zambia. I can't get enough of this place!

Hope that Sally and Janet will be safely home soon, and that Boo's back is better today.  And that Sally is able to get a little sleep, along with all the packing and repacking and lawnmowing she has scheduled!

One more day and a wakeup....those of us who are Kenya-bound must be beside themselves with excitement.  Like Agogo and Kathie and everyone else who has posted their good wishes for a magnificent trip, I hope this is even more  wonderful than any of you expect it to be.  You'll have a marvelous time together...that goes without saying!...and I hope you see all the animals and birds and people you hope to see.  And do think of us at sundown, as we will be thinking of you. 

And I'll be thinking of you at dawn, as Sally runs around waking you all up for the day.  Who has the job of waking Sally up, again?

Yes, I'm quite envious.  I've been trying to figure out for the last 2 years how to get back there.  If not next spring, hopefully in 2010.  Where are you headed in Africa?  My only Africa trip was to Botswana (Okavango, Kalahari/Mak, Linyanti, Chobe, Makgadikgadi Pans, Nxai Pan) and I clearly have the BUG.

 Before I forget, for all of you going to Africa...have a wonderful time...how could you not! We will all be waiting for the pictures and stories!

I am of to CT this morning. Soo tired. This hotel was way too noisy. Some woman knocked on my door twice looking for someone. After I told her the first time I was the only one in the room, did she think I might have rented the other bed to her friend?? Of course she waited until i had fallen asleep to return.  oh well  - I am sure I got enough sleep to get me home. Lots to do when I get there. Laundry,  pack, cut the grass, pick up a few last minute things. . . feed the cats (they must be hungry by now - lol)

One day and a wake up!!

 Guess that's it for the morning drive. I'm off to walk around a bit and then take my sore back to bed with a heating pad. Have a good night everyone. May not get back on for several days, depends on how work goes this week.
