Now what's this hyena going to do about that tasty carass?   Should have gone after it last night when it was close to shore.

 OK,  so this little guy is a guy,  right Afke?   Broad band AND a narrow band around the neck.  

 seems content to stay right here!

 I read someplace (on line somewhere I suppose) that despite their size,  elands are quite timid.  It also said that they can be domesticated.

Did anyone notice the crazy fleas this morning checking out fatty's meal? They are such goofy birds! And now a nice eland drinkin on the beach:) Big eland!

Those are the elands - the largest African antelope.

 2 Eland...and I waited long enough for them to leave....they looked like they got startled by the reflection you were showing...hehehehe...

now all's quiet again...

looks like tree got more barked off it...elephant eating again a couple days ago I hear...

 Yes,  the storms are fantastic to watch.....and to hear.   And it is amazing to see all the green appear in just hours....at least it seems that way.

Serious question for CW.....how do you tell the male from the female pied kingfisher?

I don't think we will have a thunderstorm, but whenever we have one in rainy season, we do have them on cam unless cam goes down. Remember pondies?? That one night where we had the shoreline full of Elephants (at night) with a big thunderstorm behind them?? Wonderful memories!

Maybe NG should put that back as the rerun clip again.  That one was fun to watch.
