    NavyWife:

Can't we kick all this year old crap to the curb and deal with the present?

I agree NavyWife.  Archive the stuff from last year, move it to another server ( so it doesn't bog the present one down) and move on.

so this thread is renamed..and it ends today??? I'm getting confused now...guess we shall see what comes of this?!

I also see the locked thread has a different name..Mary should tell us the new thread soon I would think!

They "unstuck" this thread, suggesting a new thread for Sightings and Sounds.  We can only hope!

Notice this thread's name covers the time period of "08-07-08 to 07-19-08".  Are we going back to the future? hehehe!

Also, the thread where I ask why they locked the locked thread was deleted.  Hmmmmm ... I refuse to start thinking 1984! lol

    Carmen:

This is my second try as I got an error message!

Rita and Miss Jam are correct.  It's a Black-Eyed (or Dark-Capped) Bulbul.  Not a new bird, but often difficult to get on cam.  It was a good sighting :)

Maybe it was playing tennis in 90+ temps midday that has made my eyesight (and mind) foggy (your Giffs subject line).  Thanks.

Wonderful!!!! I have at last been able to get into the Forum and refresh two pages, so that I am now up to date reading the posts.

What a fright in the Hide, I am so glad everyone is O.K. What a lovely giraffe.

Thanks to all for posting pics etc.

Now I'll see if this posts, and lets me back on the Forum!!!

    Lisa:

Beautiful eland pictures (before sundown), RitaCarmen, thanks for the gifs; do you know what the bird is that is eating the hibiscus?

I believe that on the subject line Carmen had ID the bird as a Black-Eyed Bulbul. Watched the Eland and Kori encounter and that was funny. The Kori decided it couldn't boss those three big antelope.Wink Hopefully this comes through without an error message but I'm copying just in case.Angel

Forum is so slow that you think twice before trying getting here.  I don't see how Afke or volunteers can post here!

I have no idea if this will get posted.  Hadedas are back...

    Rita:

    oh bother too many posts

Stuff happens (expecially on this forum).Wink So I was correct about the clanging noises being not a good thing the other night. Glad to hear that everyone's fine, but it created a few fast beating hearts, I'm sure.Surprise Mr. and Mrs. Steenbok both showed up together and everyone posted such lovely captures and gifs. Sure, I missed the giraffe and other great finds by the Hide crew, but caught up on sleep, and that's a good thing. The forum has been terribly slow this morning and full of error messages but that's par for the course recently. Just so frustrating and raises the blood pressure. Fatty needs to swim laps to get his/her figure back in shape! Now Galeboe, Lopang, and Ian y'all will have stories to tell about the Bull Elephant for a very long time.
