    Dear Viewers,

In order to bring you the best views possible of polar bears, today and tomorrow, our Polar Bear Cam team is packing up their gear and moving their camp to Cape Churchill, deep into polar bear territory.

As the bear-viewing season at Polar Bear Point winds down, the bears continue their easterly migration to Cape Churchill.  The Cape is the jump off and congregation point for many bears, and our last opportunity to observe the polar bears before they head out onto the ice of Hudson Bay.

Located about 30 kms (20 miles) east of Polar Bear Point, Cape Churchill provides a breathtaking and exciting polar bear viewing  location. If you've seen a polar bear documentary on television, or photographs of the bears in print, it is very likely the images were captured at the Cape.

Just the other day over 41 males of over 400 kilograms and up were observed at the Cape.  Pods of as much as seven bears have gathered together in one spot.

With the Polar Bear Camera in transit to Cape Churchill, the live feed will be offline on Wednesday, November 14th, and Thursday, November 15th. We will play Polar Bear Cam highlights and some of the amazing video footage from the past few days. We will resume the live broadcast on Friday, November 16th.

A special thank you to our partners, who bring you this spectacular view of the world, as they  brave strong winds and cold temperatures to bring you Polar Bear Cam. Thank you for you support and enjoy the video highlights!

    Best,
    Lisa and the WildCam Team
