    Re: Question #8

    Hi scout,

Thanks for playing the game. You'll receive a free gift for the correct answer to a previous question.

Although there seems to be some question about a polar bear's lifespan, here is the answer:

    8. What is the lifespan of a polar bear?

Answer: In the wild, the lifespan of a polar bear is 25 to 30 years.             http://www9.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/polarbearcam/index.html

    Thanks,

    Question #8

    8. What is the lifespan of a polar bear?

In the wild, polar bears live an average of 15 to 18 years, although biologists have tagged a few bears in their early 30s. In captivity, they may live until their mid- to late 30s. One zoo bear in London lived to be 41.

Answer:  Smack in the middle of this bear paradise lies the small outpost of  humanity called Churchill. Canada's lone Arctic seaport, accessible only by air or train, it currently has roughly 900 inhabitants.
